This self-made web design project brings to life the essence of "Masala Cafe," a restaurant specializing in traditional, orthodox cuisine. My goal was to create a website that perfectly complements the restaurant's vintage theme, reflecting both the classic nature of their food and the ambiance they aim to cultivate. To achieve this, I utilized Canva, for an efficient and visually appealing website build.
I meticulously crafted a vintage aesthetic through a strategic selection of design elements. The color palette features warm browns as the dominant theme, reminiscent of aged leather and old photographs. This is complemented by deep greens and muted yellows, further evoking a sense of nostalgia. Classic fonts with subtle serifs add a touch of sophistication, while high-quality photographs showcasing the restaurant's potential ambiance and delicious dishes provide a glimpse into the culinary experience.
The website prioritizes user experience with a clean and uncluttered layout. Clear navigation guides visitors intuitively through the site, allowing them to easily access information about the restaurant's services, location, and contact details. On the homepage, I made the restaurant's name the focal point, ensuring instant brand recognition. The "About" page delves deeper into Masala Cafe's offerings, while the "Contact" page provides clear avenues for potential customers to reach the restaurant. This project is a visually compelling website design while effectively utilizing a design tool like Canva.
